The newest chapter in the history of Lake Studio takes the brand back to the origin of its aesthetics – clean lines, natural materials, and architectural tailoring. This emphasis on simplicity is pieced together through hand-stitched embroidery and exclusive prints created in collaboration with Ukrainian artist Dmitry Moldovanov.
The inspiration for the collection was displayed in Dmitry Moldovanov’s most recent Light Grass exhibition, where dominate theme was a return to origin.
The main part of the collection is supported with dresses and suits made with natural linen and silk, decorated with velvet and jacquard piping, embroidery and unique prints. The brand’s noted robe dresses are supplemented with velvet and silk scarves, while its corset belts have been reinterpreted and recreated with new materials – jacquard, silk, and leather.
Shades of terracotta, coral and pink are replaced with a more discreet grey and aubergine, gradually giving way to a glossy finish, textured embroidery and inlaid beads, which elegantly grace the end result.
The evening part of the collection is represented with silk dresses and jumpsuits in shades of soft pink, copper or black and silk gowns with prints.
The accessory line represented with cuffs, brooches, and pendants, created in a minimalist style. All accessories are handmade using hot and cold enamelling techniques.
